Fall Colors - The colors are coming in to bloom. If you enjoy seeing the trees change from green to amber and fiery red plan a trip out of the heat of Los Angeles up to the "cool" country.
Convict Lake Fish Derby - October 1 - November 15, 2009
Every fall season Convict Lake sponsors a tournament. Convict Lake is tucked in between the Sierra Mountains just south of Mammoth about 10 minutes across from the airport. Reminder, that the last day of fishing in Mono County is November 15, so plan a "business trip" to Mammoth before it is too late.
Lone Pine Film Festival - October 9 - 11
If you like the old spaghetti westerns, you will love this old tyme film festival where the whole town gets dressed up in their spurs and hats to relish in the days of John Wayne and the movies that were shot in the Alabama Hills
