Mr. Mammoth
Snow Spy Report - Yes, it
is snowing. The latest from the ski area says 3-5 feet have fallen
in the last 48 hours with more on the way starting 1/5/2008. The
Town is reporting accumulation as well from 2-4 feet. A spokesperson
from the tourism department said it is falling about 6" per
hour. Finally, a great base, and great conditions for perfect ski
trips. Conditions at the mountain are fantastic
with all major lifts running, some occassionally on weather hold,
Termperatures are 21 degress during the day.
Midweek Madness January. New this
year are the discounted $55. lift tickets on Tuesdays, Wednesday,
and Thursdays. Most lodging is also discounted during the midweek.
Weekends however remain 'high season'. The regular weekend lift ticket
is $79 so this is one more excuse to blow off So. Cal and come to
Mammoth.
Night of Nights Returns
Those of you who are "old timers" will remember the torch light parades, fireworks,
bands and Mammoth staff in funny costumes. This year they add the snowmobile demos. Canyon

December marks the start of the Volcom Unbound Slopestyle and Freestyle
rail jam series. They are every month during the winter. Check the
calendars
for the events that are both at Mammoth and June Mountain.
