All the ski areas are reporting good operation, here are some prime events along with our lift ticket deals and lodging specials.
There is a big dump expected this week so conditions are going to change. As a reminder, this weekend is Martin Luther King Weekend so you get 3 days of fun.
North Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts
Alpine Meadows – open, base depths 47 and 76 inches

January 29 - 30, 2010 - The ULLR Fest - Ullr is the Norse God of winter and will be honored in this community event hosted by the Diamond Peak Ski Team. Events include a Torchlight Parade with the ski team children, a Bon Fire Kickoff family night with live music on Friday. Ullr Fest continues with Ullr Games, dinner and auction on Saturday. Ladies Day, Every Thursday! Learn to ski and ride better Silver Ski Clinics cost $10 with a season pass

Feb. 1 -3, 2010 New Ski-Cross Competition. 4 head to head races on a motocross inspired layout, debuting for the first time in the Winter Olympics this February. Check it out.

South Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts
Heavenly Valley Mountain Resort - 28"-44" of packed powder base. 80 of 94 trails open, 100% of terrain open.
Kirkwood - 60"-80" of packed powder, with 10 of 12 lifts operational
Sierra At Tahoe - 25"-53" of base, with 9 of 11 lifts open and 94% of terrain
January 23, 2010. Game of SHRED Gather your versatile teams of three for this face-off contest based on the classic game of S.K.A.T.E. Cash and prizes from Lib Tech, Sessions, Dragon, Dakine and Neff will be handed out to the ski and snowboard teams that can nail the tricks on the stairset.
