City Concierge® Expands Resort Services to Lake
Tahoe
Lake
Tahoe, CA, – Due to its business success and growth in Mammoth Lakes,
CA, City Concierge, Inc. - a web-based central resort reservation
and information service - has expanded its resort services to Lake
Tahoe. Additionally, this new Eastern Sierra growth now has ability
to book reservations in Bishop, CA, and Yosemite National Park. The
company’s presents its vision as, "Our goal is to be the
'epicenter' of central resort reservations for today’s tech-savvy
vacationer – all at the touch of a finger".
The
recent Lake Tahoe upgrades include easy access to up-to-date
resort information for all 14 ski resorts, including the top three: Squaw
Valley and Northstar in the North Tahoe region, and Heavenly
Valley in South Lake Tahoe. Also included is online information for other
family resorts: Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Soda Springs, and Tahoe
Donner in the Donner Summit region; Alpine Meadows and Homewood in North
Tahoe; Diamond Peak and Mt. Rose in Incline Village; and Kirkwood
and Sierra at Tahoe in the South Tahoe area.
Along
with current resort information and premier reservation services
for vacation properties, homes, condos, and hotels, City Concierge® provides
a collection of dining guides, as well as real estate, retail, and
community information. Maps and real-time weather from the National
Weather service round out the vacation planning features. Highlighting
the Lake Tahoe launch is the ability to book vacation rentals all
around the lake, with complete property descriptions, photos, and
pricing, as well as the efficiency of real-time availability in a
centralized reservation format. Because Lake Tahoe is divided into
4 quadrants – east, west, north, and south – with each
area controlled by a separate county’s visitor bureau and offering
different or overlapping services, this
separation of information sources has caused confusion among tourism
customers. City Concierge® addresses this by working together
to unify the business community, which simplifies vacation planning
and positively impacts consumer visitation.
“Uniting
the area businesses and working with them to create a single entity
makes the tourism community stronger, with more power to reach a
buying consumer with less cost for promotion,” says Jefferson
Lanz, Managing Director and President of City Concierge, Inc.
According
to a May 2007 report from the California Travel and Tourism Commission, “By
the end of this year, more than half of all travel in the U.S. will
be purchased online. Thirty-four million Americans have made the
Internet the number one way they buy their leisure travel. Online
travel sales are expected to top US$136 billion.”
an April 2006 "Industry News from the California Travel Industry
Association" (TIA) newsletter, cites a study released by Yahoo!
Search Marketing found that "87% of consumers who go on high-end
vacations use the Internet in making their travel arrangements." The
research also found that 61% of the study participants used
the Internet to purchase their most recent vacation.
