Mammoth * Lake Tahoe
If you haven't already noticed, we have added a City Concierge Central Resort Services office in Lake Tahoe. We're providing the same service as we have done in Mammoth Lakes for the last 4 years. With our new office, we will expand this newsletter to include events in Lake Tahoe as well, since they are our closest neighbor that also has great weather, skiing, fishing and golf. Speaking of Mammoth weather it has chilled down quickly. This newsletter was delayed from the beginning of the month as it snowed again yesterday (Oct 16) another 1" and last week 8" laying a nice base. Snow level is 5500 feet. Local snow accumulation It is cold now and the town is white. Night time temperatures are in the 20's & 30's and that means that snow making will start soon.
Lake Tahoe Weather is also very cold. Squaw Valley reports that they have 11" of snow at 6200 ft, and 19" of snow at 8200 ft. They have had 6 snow storms already and their towns are all white as well
The fall leaves are at their peak true colors throughout the Sierra. This is a beautiful time of the year for those who feel that Southern California doesn't have enough seasons. The winter prediction for snow is back to normal weather conditions (whatever that is) with great snow for Thanksgiving skiing at all resorts.
Mammoth Mountain for the Holidays

Don't delay as it will be sold out Wee will again maintain the list of who has last minute cancellations if you do have to wait till the last minute.
Lake Tahoe for the Holidays-
The 3 big resorts, Heavenly Valley, Squaw Valley and Northstar have all had facelifts both in their villages, and on the slopes. Booking is easy as electronic reservations are now being taken. We can also help you customize your trip by using our form or calling us. The minimum night stay in Lake Tahoe during Christmas week is 4 nights. The Big 3 have all gone under revamps. Heavenly Valley has their famous gondola coming right down into their town. Squaw added new runs, and Northstar... well they added a new Village, and skiing at Northstar is similar to skiing at Beaver Creek - First Class!
