Just ask a local how great the Mammoth Mountain ski resort ski runs are. The weather has been so cold, the snow is still fresh and squeaky dry, and powdery. Mammoth Mountain ski trails are perfect and if you have been skiing since Martin Luther King weekend, it is really rather amazing. The groomers make snow for all the trails, and nothing but fresh fallen powder can top our groomed corduroy snow. OK, so the ground around the trails is not as white as we would like, and a "sacrificial snow dance" might help, but what you ski on is really fantastic.
